LINCOLN – Brady Vose carried 12 times for 131 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown, to help the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx defeat the Dexter Tigers 34-0 in high school football action Friday night.
Mattanawcook Academy, which piled up 232 rushing yards, scored twice in the third quarter to break the game open. That included TD runs by Kyle Epp and Greg Hand.
Josh Pelkey also threw a 7-yard scoring pas to Nolan Pelkey for the Lynx, who received 12 tackles from linebacker Nate Ireland and 10 tackles, including two sacks, from end Hand.
Doug Richardson netted 81 rushing yards on 24 carries for Dexter.

At Bucksport, Bobby Alvarado rushed 14 times for 111 yards and a touchdown and also returned a free kick 55 yards for a score to propel the Golden Bucks to victory.
Alvarado turned in a 68-yard TD jaunt and Nate Warren (5 carries, 117 yards) had a 59-yard scoring burst. Kyle McGeechan passed for two touchdowns, a 25-yard completion to Isaac Redman and a 24-yard toss to Andrew Findlay.
Vinnie Tymoczko and Noah Wallace also had TD runs for Bucksport, which limited Mount View of Thorndike to minus-24 total yards.

At Belfast, Brian Guerette’s 30-yard interception return for a score helped the Purple Panthers pull away for the win.
Kris Huggins carried 16 times for 63 yards, including a 1-yard TD dive. Kyle Bishop also completed an 80-yard scoring pass to Cameron Bishop.
Willy Fogg scored on a 14-yard run for Belfast and finished with 105 yards on 23 carries.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Ryan Stroud completed all four of his passes, three for touchdowns, as Foxcroft Academy rolled past Old Town.
Chase Hutchinson caught a scoring pass from Stroud and scored two more touchdowns on runs for the Ponies. He totaled three carries for 73 yards.
Ian Champeon caught a 27-yard touchdown pass and ran in for another on a 75-yard punt return. Stetson Bowden also returned a punt for a touchdown and had an 8-yard TD run in the first quarter.
Bowden rushed three times for 77 yards while Champeon had 31 yards on three carries.
Brian Saunders, Hunter Desimone and Zac Smith had touchdowns runs for the Ponies. D.J. Clukey caught a 13-yard scoring pass from Stroud.
Josiah Richard converted five of six extra-point kicks and also passed for a two-point conversion.
Thomas Gogan led Old Town by scoring both touchdowns. He scored in the first quarter on a 5-yard run and in the fourth on an 83-yard run.
Foxcroft Academy totaled 328 yards of offense while Old Town compiled 147 offensive yards.
