TROY – A 40-year-old Detroit man was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle accident on Route 220.
Scott Goulette died from injuries when the 1987 Chevrolet pickup in which he was a passenger rolled over, according to Maine State Police.
Detroit resident Charles Erickson, 30, driver of the vehicle, was going north on Route 220 when he lost control at 1:50 a.m. The truck veered off the road and rolled over when the driver overcorrected, police said.
Erickson was taken by ambulance to Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, police said.
The hospital reported no record of Erickson’s having been treated.
