Reason for running: My top priorities remain improving roads, helping small business and better access to health care. I’ve worked hard on those priorities and I will continue to do so. Rep. Experience: As a Navy SEAL, I witnessed firsthand what repressive governments (East Germany) would do to prevent freedom and equal representation. As a SEAL, I was responsible for men’s lives, training co-ordination liaison, and an independent duty assignment. Since retiring I’ve served in the town of Houlton on committees, representing as a proponent for the tax cap and outside wood boilers. As an elected official I serve on the Board of Budget Review and most recently completed a three-year term on the Shiretown Development Corp.

Reason for running: I am running because hardworking people have been ignored, treated as unequal; to stabilize fuel prices; no frills basic health care; reduce taxes, wasteful programs; require more financial investment (50 percent) for grants; strengthen conflict of interest rules; restrict executive sessions; more open government, voter participation; lower road weights; rehabilitate our railroads, both freight and passenger; eliminate new car windfall sales tax.
