BANGOR – Congregation Beth Israel will observe Yom Kippur with its newly appointed religious leader, Rabbi Steven Schwarzman, along with cantor Max Furmansky from Israel. Services include Mincha at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, with Kol Nidre at 5:30 p.m. Shacharit will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct.
