Todd Palin, husband of Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, will hold two public events in Maine this weekend to campaign for his wife’s running mate, Sen. John McCain.

Palin will meet and greet supporters at a barbecue at 2 p.m. today at the Moosehead Trail Trading Post on Route 100 in Palmyra.

He will be host to a similar event beginning at noon Sunday at Harry’s Motor Sports on Main Street in Presque Isle.

Both events are free and open to the public.
