CALAIS – Nate Warren rushed for a pair of first-half touchdowns as Bucksport earned a 20-8 high school football victory over Calais-Woodland Saturday.
Warren compiled 217 yards on 25 carries for the Golden Bucks while Alex Giosia added a seven-yard TD run in the first quarter.
Blake Ford scored the Silverados’ only TD on a two-yard rush in the second quarter. He finished with 113 yards on 20 carries.

Nokomis 21, Belfast 10
At Newport, Jordan Richards scored two second-quarter touchdowns to help the Warriors beat the Lions.
After Belfast recorded a safety by tackling a Nokomis player in the end zone, the Warriors answered with a scoring drive. Richards’ 1-yard scoring run put the hosts ahead for good.
Later in the quarter, Richards (13 carries, 98 yards) caught a 14-yard halfback option pass from Ethan Curry.
The Lions (0-5) cut the deficit to 14-10 on Derrick Bernosky’s 28-yard scoring run in the third quarter, but the Warriors (1-4) put the game away on a 12-yard TD toss from Derek Amoroso to Curry.
Curry paced the Nokomis defense with 12 tackles, including 10 solos, and a fumble recovery.

At Drummond Field in Waterville, Michael Jenkins scored the second of two TDs on a 5-yard run late in the third quarter to put the Broncos ahead for good in a seesaw affair.
Jenkins, who rushed for most of his 85 yards in the second half, also had a 1-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter.
Nolan Turner provided TD runs of 3 and 5 yards and also completed a 14-yard shovel pass to Justin Rodgerson for another score. Jacob Bowden had a 5-yard touchdown carry.
Quarterback Kyle Bishop sparked Waterville going 11-for-16 passing for 190 yards. He had a 9-yard scoring pass to Cam Bishop and hooked up with J.D. Gurski on a 44-yard touchdown completion.
Kris Huggins provided TD runs of 4 and 9 yards, both in the first half.

Grant Aylward and Matt Wibberly scored one goal each for the 6-3-2 Broncos, while Brad Dolan provided two assists and Kevin Angelinetta one.
Nick Beaulieu made 18 saves on 30 shots for 1-10 Skowhegan.

At Bucksport, Russ Mortland notched a hat trick as Presque Isle rolled to the win.
Eric Morris added an unassisted tally for the 11-0-1 Wildcats. Dillon Kingsbury had six saves on nine shots.
Joe Goodin stopped 13 of 20 shots for 4-8-1 Bucksport.

At Deer Isle, Nate Fowler tallied a goal and assisted on Brett Bradford’s as Bangor Christian triumphed.
Tyler Alexander had 18 saves on 19 shots for the 9-2-1 Patriots.
Jay Boyce scored on a penalty kick for 5-4-1 Deer Isle-Stonington. Eben Powers stopped 16 of 22 shots.
Sumner 6, Searsport 4
At Searsport, Woody Huber scored two goals and assisted on another to power the Tigers of East Sullivan to victory.
Anthony Cultrea tallied two goals for 2-10-1 Sumner, while Gabe O’Brien and Joey Malloy provided one each. Josh Ring made three saves on nine shots.
Chris Gillo and Josiah Brazier scored two goals each for 1-11 Searsport. Josh Ellis added an assist and Dan Peach made 10 saves on 18 shots.
Greenville 2, Rangeley 0
At Rangeley, Tony DiAngelo and Evan Bickford had a goal apiece as Greenville triumphed.
Richie Chilson had an assist and Alex Jardine stopped 12 of 12 shots for the 6-1-2 Lakers.
Zach Abbott had 20 saves on 20 shots for 4-6 Rangeley.
Bangor 9, Lawrence 0
At Bangor, Nick George and Phil Frost each scored two goals and assisted on another to propel the Rams to their 10th victory of the season.
Johnny Warren netted two goals for 10-0-1 Bangor, while Clark Noonan provided a goal and an assist. Luke Hetterman and Blaine Tobin tallied one goal each, Mack Susi contributed two assists and Dan Taft added one.
Goalkeeper Bud Angst did not face any shots.
Codey Fabian made 14 saves on 35 shots for 3-7 Lawrence of Fairfield.

At Charleston, Ryosuka Yamada scored two of his three goals in the first half as the host Knights capitalized on a stiff wind while building a 3-0 halftime advantage.
Alexander Papkov and Stefan Rowe had assists on Yamada’s goals, while Cody Crooker converted a corner kick for 8-2 Highview Christian Academy. Rowe made 28 saves on 33 shots, including 16 stops in the second half.
Aaron Dewitt scored the goal for 5-4 Buckfield. Nate Corson made 18 saves on 28 shots.
Girls soccer
Madawaska 0, Calais 0 (2OT)
At Calais, the Owls and Blue Devils battled to a stalemate in two overtimes.
Stephanie Nadeau had seven saves on 10 shots for 7-3-1 Madawaska while Hillary Hollingdale stopped 24 of 28 for 4-4-1 Calais.
Bangor Chr. 2, DI-Stonington 1
At Deer Isle, Amanda Hall and Kelley Robinson scored second-half goals to lead the Patriots to victory.
Abby Groski netted an assist for 4-4-1 Bangor Christian. Moriah Bach had 14 saves on 19 shots.
Britnie Jones scored for the 3-6-2 Mariners while Anika Powers stopped 15 of 25 shots.
Hampden 6, Skowhegan 0
At Skowhegan, Ashley Robinson knocked in a pair of goals as Hampden won for the sixth time in seven games.
Katie Chambers netted a goal and dished out three assists while Samantha Utecht had a goal and assist. Micaela Stephenson and Chelsea Kuzio added goals and Clarissa El-Hajj and Sarah Lamberton assists for the 7-4 Broncos. Julia Snyder saved all seven shots.
Samantha Gray stopped seven of 13 for 3-8 Skowhegan.

Searsport 7, Sumner 0
At Searsport, Tianna Faunce recorded four goals and two assists as Searsport blanked Sumner of East Sullivan.
Sara Bradshaw had a pair of goals and an assist and Olivia Quigley a goal and assist for the Vikings. Shannon Higgins, Kayla Garcelon and Katherine Cotter combined for one save on three shots.
Kelsey Tucker had 18 saves on 44 shots for Sumner.
Presque Isle 13, Bucksport 0
At Bucksport, Sarah Porter, Kayla Legassie and Kayla Richards all had hat tricks as the Wildcats rolled to their 11th win against just one loss.
Amber Griffin and Alyssa Houston each recorded their first goals of the season for Presque Isle while Chelsea Nickerson and Brittany Beardon added a goal apiece. Kellsey Park stopped all three shots.
Carrie Dagile stopped 10 of 26 shots for 0-12-1 Bucksport.

Belfast 4, MCI 1
At Belfast, Crystle Kirby had a goal and assist and Danielle Littlefield two assists to lead Belfast past MCI of Pittsfield.
Sam Back, Ori Downs and Lauren Rice added goals and Brooklyn Curry an assist for the 9-4 Lions. Paxton Mohney and Emma Hamm saved seven of eight shots.
Lydia Foster scored for 3-10 MCI. Kayla Michaud stopped 15 of 19 shots.
