PRESQUE ISLE – Greg Dawson scored two goals to lead the UMaine-Machias Clippers to a 3-0 men’s soccer victory over the UM-Presque Isle Owls Saturday.

Isiah Eagles added a goal for the 7-6 Machias and Nick Bakas and Santiago Meira assists. Adam Mauro had six saves on 12 shots.

Richard Felbaum stopped three of eight shots for 7-3-1 UM-Presque Isle.

USM 3, UMass Dartmouth 2

At Gorham Saturday, Peter McHugh’s goal with 20 seconds left in the second overtime gave the Huskies the win.

Greg Cox had a goal and assist and Nick Johnson a goal for 9-4-1 Southern Maine. David Kreps had four saves on 11 shots.

Mike Alves and Chris Bernardo scored for 7-5 UMass Dartmouth. Kevin Pelsinski and Anel Brkic combined for three saves on eight shots.

Husson 2, Green Mountain 0

At Bangor, Nathan Carter and Tyler Metevier scored second-half goals to lift Husson to victory Saturday.

Josh Bartlett and Mark Trombley had assists for the 6-5 Eagles. Brad Ala and Miguel Dominguez didn’t have to make a save on two shots.

Ryder Ritchie stopped 10 of 35 shots for 0-15 Green Mountain.

St. Joe’s 2, Albertus Magnus 1

At New Haven, Conn., Joseph Happnie’s goal in the second overtime gave the Monks of Standish a Saturday win.

Michael Sanfilippo scored a first-half goal while Derek Osmond assisted on the game-winner for 6-3-3 St. Joseph’s. Will Pike had five saves on 13 shots.

Mike Strong scored in the second half for 6-6-1 Albertus Magnus. Gerald O’Connor stopped four of 10 shots.

Hartford 2, Maine 0

At Hartford Saturday, the Hawks scored one goal in each half to defeat UMaine.

Ivan Guarin and Carlos Villa scored goals while Cedomir Tomcic had an assist for 7-3-2 Hartford. Luke Citrinti saved three of 10 shots.

Nemanja Kostic had five saves on 15 shots for the 3-10-1 Black Bears.

UM-Farmington 2, Johnson St. 1

At Farmington on Saturday, Andrew Harner’s unassisted goal 13:02 into the first half was the eventual game-winner.

James Tollefson scored on a Sean Raph assist for 4-5 UMaine-Farmington. Matthew Dennett made seven saves on 14 shots.

Christopher Keefer scored a second-half goal for 6-4 Johnson State (Vt.). Andy Lane made five saves on 11 shots.

Thomas 2, Lyndon State 1

At Waterville on Saturday, Cory Underwood scored an unassisted goal with a little more than five minutes to play, lifting the Terriers to victory.

Tim Costa scored off a Jonathan Clippert setup for Thomas. Keegan Curtin made three saves.

Jeff Giroux came up with four saves for Lyndon State (Vt.)

Castleton State 4, MMA 0

At Castine on Saturday, the Spartans outshot the Mariners 30-7 while earning the victory.

Ryan Hahn, Nick Bellizzi, Josh Costa and Greg Klopfer tallied a goal apiece for 7-6 Castleton State (Vt.). Mike Anthony and Ben Colona combined to make two saves on seven shots.

Jeff Butland and Randy Bartlett teamed up to make 11 saves for 4-6-1 Maine Martime Academy.

Lyndon State 2, UMF 0

At Farmington Sunday, Darren Roberge scored one goal and assisted on another by Chris Cowan to lift Lyndon State to the win.

Ian Oliver came up with four saves on 10 shots for 6-6 Lyndon State.

Matthew Dennett stopped eight of 16 shots for the 4-6 Beavers.

Green Mountain 3, MMA 0

At Castine Sunday, Colin Miner, Ryan Spill and Brendan Regan netted a goal apiece to lead Green Mountain to its first win of the fall.

Ryder Ritchie had nine saves on 20 shots for the 1-15 winners.

Randy Bartlett stopped five of 15 shots for 4-7-1 Maine Maritime.

Johnson State 2, Thomas 1

At Waterville on Sunday, Emil Albright’s unassisted first-half goal provided the margin of victory as the Badgers edged the Terriers.

Zach Lees scored the first goal for Johnson State (Vt.), while Andy Lane made three saves.

Eric Walton scored on a Tim Costa assist for Thomas. Keegan Curtin came up with six saves.

UM-Presque Isle 12, Fisher 0

At Presque Isle Sunday, Corey Fournier and Devon Paslee each had three goals for UM-Presque Isle in the win.

Peaslee also had two assists with Josh Peaslee notching three plus a goal; Seth Dorr knocked in two goals while Tony Hibbard, and Brian Zwicker added a goal apiece for the Owls. Richard Felbaum didn’t have to make a save on two shots.

Greg Jackson stopped 16 of 44 shots for Fisher College.

UMFK 10, Fisher 0

At Fort Kent on Saturday, Andrew Gervais scored three goals to lead UMaine-Fort Kent by Fisher.

Henley Comrie and Wally Stewart each added two goals for the 11-0 Bengals. Keith Williams, Dwayne Smith and Tim McDermott each added a goal. Goalie Giovanni Sinclair didn’t have to make a save.

For 1-11 Fisher, Greg Jackson made 30 saves on 40 shots.

Castleton State 3, MMA 0

At Castine, the Spartans scored three first-half goals to defeat Maine Maritime on Saturday.

Maria Arnot scored two goals while Courtney Chadbourne added another for 8-5 Castleton State. Nakita Baldic didn’t have to make a save.

Lacey Jackson had nine saves on 20 shots for 4-7-2 Maine Maritime.

St. Joseph’s 3, Johnson & Wales 3

At East Providence, R.I., Brianna Jordan scored with 4:44 remaining in regulation Saturday as the Monks earned a tie.

Katie Jordan and Mikayla Call scored a goal each for 6-4-1 Saint Joseph’s of Standish and Jessica Needham added an assist. Katye Mayo made four saves on 16 shots.

Katyln Gerrish, Amanda Aguiar and Samantha Reynolds posted a goal apiece for 7-6-1 Johnson & Wales. Kory Blythe made 10 saves on 26 shots.

UMass Dartmouth 3, So. Maine 0

At North Dartmouth, Mass., Jessica Swenson scored two goals Saturday to power the Corsairs to victory.

Caitlin McCleary had the other goal for 3-4-4 UMass Dartmouth. Tanya Braga made three saves on five shots.

Alison Bradley had seven saves on 11 shots for the 1-1-2 Huskies of Gorham.

Boston University 1, Maine 0

At Boston Sunday, Marisha Schumacher-Hodge scored an unassisted goal in the second half to lead the Terriers to the win.

Janie Reilly didn’t have to make a save on three shots for 9-5-1 Boston University.

Jasmine Phillips stopped four of 16 shots for 5-3-5 Maine.

UMPI 1, UMM 0 (OT)

At Presque Isle Saturday, Erin Pelletier scored the game’s only goal as the Owls triumphed in overtime.

Jessica Kinney assisted on the goal while Billie Martin saved four of five shots for 5-1-1 UMaine-Presque Isle.

Stephanie Wunderley stopped 12 of 23 shots for 6-7 UMaine-Machias.

UMF 8, Johnson State 0

At Farmington Saturday, Chelsea Norton’s two goals led the Beavers to the win.

Amber Murphy had a goal plus two assists while Eryn Neptune, Melissa St. Amanda, Julie Waters, Katie Schwarz and Heidi Jackson added a goal apiece for 5-4 UMaine-Farmington. Mckell Barnes had one save on one shot.

Elizabeth Wallace compiled six saves on 33 shots for 3-8-1 Johnson State.

Lyndon State 1, Thomas 0

At Waterville Saturday, Kelly Warren’s scored the game’s only goal in the first half to lift Lyndon State to the win over Thomas College.

Jess Nassetta came up with six saves for Thomas.

Husson 5, Thomas 0

At Waterville, Krystal Doughty connected for two second-half goals to propel Husson University of Bangor to victory on Saturday.

Courtney Allen and Elisha Dorso each registered a goal and an assist for the Eagles, while Erin Nason scored one. Kara Voisine made two saves.

Megan Denby came up with 10 saves for Thomas College.

Thomas 2, Johnson State 1

At Waterville on Sunday, Jamie Lockett found the back of the net with 3.3 seconds remaining in the second overtime period, lifting the Terriers to victory.

Marisa Pickowicz had given Thomas a 1-0 lead in the second half, before Emily Hassard equalized for Johnson State three minutes later off a direct kick.

Jess Nassetta registered 15 saves for the Terriers, while Elizabeth Wallace made six stops for the Badgers.

UM-Presque Isle 11, Fisher 0

At Presque Isle Sunday, Katie Moody collected four goals and an assist while Erin Pelletier had three goals as the Owls rolled.

Amber Bradley had two assists while Carolynn Tuck had a goal plus an assist for UMaine-Presque Isle. Chelsea Boudreau and Makayla Gahagan each added a goal and Desiree Smith another plus two assists. Tuck and Billie Martin combined for three saves on four shots.

Melissa Holloman and Jackie Streeter teamed up for 20 saves on 46 shots for Fisher College.

UMFK 8, Fisher 0

At Fort Kent on Saturday, the Bengals rolled despite the loss of leading scorer Whitney Sinclair to an ankle injury as Brianne McGary, Pam Peralta and Macie LaPlante each chipped in with two goals.

Shanae Armstrong and Angela Norsworthy each added a goal for the 9-2 Bengals and Kayla Daigle didn’t have to make a save.

Liz Johnson made 25 saves on 35 shots for 1-11 Fisher.

Maine splits on weekend

The University of Maine dropped two weekend contests, losing a 4-3 decision to New Hampshire on Saturday in Orono before dropping a 3-2 verdict Sunday to Rutgers at Providence, R.I.

On Sunday, Katie Feeley scored two goals and assisted on another by Amy Lewis as 18th-ranked Rutgers held on for the win.

Lauren Decerbo had four saves on 12 shots for the 11-3 Scarlet Knights.

Courtney Veinotte and Ellen Andrews had a goal apiece and Kelly Newton two assists for 3-9 Maine. Brittany Fleck stopped three of 16 shots.

In Saturday’s game, Sarah Craigue scored the second of her three goals late in the first half to put New Hampshire ahead for good.

Craighe had netted the Wildcats’ second goal and then provided the eventual game-winner in the second half. Brittany Jacobs also tallied for 6-8 New Hampshire. Jenna Lehman made 13 saves on 28 shots.

Kelly Newton and Stephanie Gardiner each scored a first-half goal for 3-8 UMaine, with each assisting on the other’s. Brittany Fleck came up with seven saves on 19 shots.
