Wrestlers to highlight Harmony fair event

HARMONY – Captain Freedom, Bull Moose Calhoun (World’s Largest Athlete, 7 feet 3 inches tall, 547 pounds), Island Warrior Makua, the Showman, the Skunk, and other pro wrestlers will be in Harmony on Saturday, Oct. 25 to help raise money for the completion of the new restroom facility and construction of a permanent exhibition hall on the grounds of the Harmony Free Fair. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. at Harmony Elementary School and the show will begin at 7 p.m.

The wrestling event, which features champion fighters, is courtesy of Global Impact Wrestling. All proceeds will be used for the new buildings on the Harmony Fairground.

The 61-year-old fair is sponsored by the Harmony Patriarchs Club, established in 1947 as a community betterment program. Since its inception, this charitable, nonprofit, all-volunteer club has donated funds to many community causes.

Tickets for the show are $15 for a ringside seat, $10 for general admission for adults, $8 for general admission for children under 12. All children attending the event will receive a free promotional comic book donated by Jim’s Variety Store. Seating for the event is limited. Advance tickets are available at Morrison’s Garage in Harmony. Tickets also may be purchased at the door. For more information, call Jeff Chadbourne at 683-5873.
