Candidates to attend forum in Ellsworth

ELLSWORTH – The League of Women Voters of Maine will hold a forum for Ellsworth-area candidates for the state House of Representatives from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, in the City Hall auditorium.

Carrie Jones and Brian Langley, candidates for House District 38 (Ellsworth, Otis and Trenton), have agreed to participate. Ann Luther, co-president of the League of Women Voters of Maine, will moderate.

Candidates will discuss issues facing the next Legislature including Maine’s economy, the rising cost of energy, and school consolidation. The forum is open to the public and audience members will have a chance to submit their own questions to the candidates.

The two candidates for state Senate District 28, Mark Remick and Dennis Damon, will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, also in the City Hall auditorium.
