VAN BUREN – Susan Lavertu scored two goals in the first four minutes to lead the Madawaska Owls to a 4-2 schoolgirl soccer victory over Van Buren Tuesday.
Kallie Pelletier made it 3-0 only 51/2 minutes into the game and Lavertu added a second-half goal for 9-3-1 Madawaska. Stephanie Nadeau made 15 saves on 17 shots.
Jennifer Ouellette scored two goals for 8-5 Van Buren, with Robyn Violette and Lindsay LaJoie posting assists. Ashlie Wilson made 10 saves on 14 shots.
Presque Isle 5, Caribou 0
At Caribou, Kayla Legassie scored two goals as Presque Isle shut out Caribou.
Sarah Porter and Jenna Stephenson each had a goal and an assist for the 12-1 Wildcats. Hannah Cheney also scored. Chelsea Nickerson provided an assist. Kelsey Park saved five of 11 shots.
Brittany Doak stopped 16 of 28 shots for 10-3 Caribou.

At Mars Hill, Fort Fairfield received goals from five players to upend Central Aroostook.
Courtney Churchill, Brooke Beaulieu, Rosemary Williams, Lindsey Graves and Emily Wesman scored for 8-5-1 Fort Fairfield and Katy Donovan made four saves on eight shots.
Kristen Long scored for 4-9 Central Aroostook and Vicki McIntyre and Desray Brewer combined for four saves on 15 shots.

At Washburn, Evangeline Goodall scored a goal and assisted on another as Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook improved to 12-1-1.
Brittany Charette and Elizabeth Goodall had the other goals for Southern Aroostook and Emily Cummings made two saves on five shots.
Morgan Berube scored for 7-5-1 Washburn and Rachel Palmer made five stops on 12 shots.

At St. Agatha, Kellie Peers scored four goals as Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics beat Wisdom.
Stacy Bernier had three goals for the 6-7 Eagles. Victoria St. Pierre had a goal and an assist and Shannon Leighton scored. Caitlin Good saved eight of 12 shots.
Chelsea Collin scored a second-half goal for 0-13 Wisdom. Suzie Collins turned away 12 of 23 shots.

At Ellsworth, Maggie Harding and Taylor Trombley scored two goals apiece as Ellsworth beat Foxcroft Academy.
Clarissa Winkelmann had the other goal for 10-2-1 Ellsworth. Lauren Peer, Lily Cooper and Harding recorded assists. Angie Tucker made five saves off six shots.
Sara Whittemore stopped 10 of 17 shots for 6-6-1 Foxcroft.

At Hermon, Danielle Hutchins had a hat trick as Mount Desert Island of Bar Harbor earned the win over Hermon.
Augusta Blandford also scored for the 4-9 Trojans. Elizabeth Sargent saved eight of 10 shots.
Shannon Hill scored an unassisted goal in the first half for 3-9-1 Hermon. Sara Bishop turned away 16 of 25 shots.

At Houlton, Ashir Abouleish and Gary Fowler both scored two first-half goals to lift Houlton over Hodgdon.
Pat Longstaff recorded a goal and an assist for 3-9-1 Houlton. James Bates scored as Lowell Matthews and Dylan Gard provided assists. Ryan Vanbuskirk and Jared Tapley combined for four saves on five shots.
Jake Tidd scored in the second half for 3-10 Hodgdon. Eric Ryan saved 17 of 23 shots.

Michael Cannan, Kyle Pelletier and Dylan Westmore contributed a goal and an assist apiece, while Ethan Welch scored once. Jon Lee added an assist and Nate Beaulieu made three saves on three shots.
Jordan Banks made nine saves and faced 19 shots for 1-11-1 Van Buren.

At Woodland, Chad James had a first-half hat trick as Woodland defeated East Grand of Danforth.
Brad Arthurs had a goal and two assists for the 8-4-1 Dragons. Ben Sears had a goal and an assist and Zach Graybill also scored. Kyle Pike provided two assists as Andy Brown and James each had an assist. Todd Wormell saved five of seven shots.
Abe Brittain scored off a corner kick for 0-12 East Grand. Adam Gilman added a goal. Brittain and Aaron Henn combined for 45 saves off 52 shots.

At Mars Hill, Jeremy Dillon scored an unassisted goal with 13:46 left in regulation to enable Fort Fairfield to earn a tie.
Dan Brewer scored a first-half goal for Central Aroostook.
Austin Dufour made seven saves on 15 shots for 8-5-1 Fort Fairfield while Tyler Rusby made six stops on 13 shots for 7-4-2 Central Aroostook.
