CORINTH – Chad Paradis scored two of his three goals 26 seconds apart in the first half to lead the Old Town Coyotes to a 4-2 schoolboy soccer victory over the Central Red Devils Wednesday.
Paradis, who also scored 17 seconds into the second half, was assisted by Brandon Winchenbach and Dan LeBreton, respectively, on the first two tallies. Jacob St. Pierre also scored for 7-5-2 Old Town to support goalkeepers Alex Caballero and Lee Larry, who combined to make 12 saves on 18 shots.
Ryan Bean scored a goal and set up a Matt Kelley goal for 6-5-3 Central. Cole Haskell racked up 24 saves on 30 shots.

Houlton 2, Schenck 1
At Houlton, Pat Longstaff netted two goals, including the game-winner with 5:57 remaining in the match, to spark Houlton by Schenck of East Millinocket.
Ryan VanBuskirk made seven saves on eight shots for the 4-9-1 Shiretowners.
Aaron Hutchins scored for Schenck on an assist from Josh Brown. Ryan Thompson stopped 13 of 15 shots for the 1-12-1 Wolverines.
PVHS 1, Lee Acad. 0
At Lee, Ethan Babineau scored the winning goal with 10:43 left in the game on an assist from Matthew Theriault to lift Penobscot Valley of Howland past Lee Academy.
Jacob Jones stopped seven of 16 shots for the 10-2-2 Howlers.
A.J. Harris made 14 saves on 20 shots for 5-7-1 Lee Academy.

John Bapst 2, MDI 1
At Bangor, Andrew Casey netted the winning goal with 1:45 left in the match as John Bapst edged Mount Desert Island.
Miles Gagnon also scored in the second half and assisted on the winning goal. Casey Hull stopped nine of 11 shots for the 7-5-2 Crusaders.
Peter Grubb scored for the Trojans on an assist from Abe Gladstone. Iz Ward made six saves on nine shots for 7-6-1 MDI.

Piscataquis 2, Foxcroft 1
At Guilford, Yaal Kand scored the winning goal with 20 minutes left off a pass from Brian Hackett to give the Piscataquis Pirates a victory.
Nicholas Schmiedlehner scored the 5-6-2 Pirates’ other goal, also off a Hackett assist. Corbin Shufelt made four saves on nine shots.
Dave Hwang scored unassisted for the 0-13-1 Foxcroft Academy Ponies. Alex Grey made 18 saves on 28 shots.

Orono 0, Dexter 0 (2OT)
At Orono, neither team could crack the other’s net through 80 minutes of regulation play and two overtimes so the Orono Red Riots and visiting Tigers settled for the tie.
Kerry Eaton and A.J. Coleman combined to make four saves on four shots for the 10-3-1 Riots.
Nathan Wyman saved all eight shots he faced for the 9-1-4 Tigers.

Mount View 1, Winslow 0
At Thorndike, Ben Fox netted the lone goal of the game at 24:14 in the first half to lead Mount View past Winslow.
Nick Knight made nine saves on 10 shots for the 6-6-1 Mustangs.
Mackenzie Michaud stopped 10 of 19 shots for the 4-9-1 Black Raiders.
Ellsworth 2, George Stevens 0
At Ellsworth, Garrett Kaspala registered two goals to lead Ellsworth by George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill.
Andrew Austin and Zach Emeigh each grabbed an assist. Jordan Carter stopped both shots he faced for 12-1-1 Ellsworth.
Nate Hines made 14 saves on 16 shots for 5-8-1 George Stevens Academy.

Bucksport 3, Hermon 2
At Hermon, Jon Grindle scored the game-winning goal with 12 minutes left in the second half to lift Bucksport past Hermon.
Jon Gooden and Will St. Peter each added an unassisted goal in the first half for Bucksport. Dale Pollard blocked nine of 16 shots for the 5-8-1 Golden Bucks.
Kevin Tarr and Jerimy McIntyre each netted a goal in the first half for Hermon. Cory Johnson made six saves on 10 shots for the 2-11-1 Hawks.

Dexter 1, John Bapst 0
BANGOR – Katie Eastman notched the game’s only goal with 26:25 left in the game to lead undefeated Dexter past John Bapst 1-0 in a Class C field hockey match Wednesday.
Sam Conway saved three of six shots to earn her seventh shutout of the year for the Tigers, who finished their regular season with a 14-0 record.
Megan Smith stopped 10 of 11 shots for the 5-8-1 Crusaders.

Girls soccer
Old Town 7, Central 1
At Old Town, Katie Deshane and Megan Cousins scored two goals apiece to lead Old Town to victory over Central of Corinth.
Deshane finished the regular season with 19 goals, an Old Town girls’ record. Erin St. Peter, Elise Jordan and Hilary Campbell each added a goal for Old Town. Annie Cashon made three saves on five shots for the 10-3-1 Coyotes.
Briana Speed netted a goal for Central. Shari Shina stopped 11 of 24 shots for the 2-12 Red Devils.
