BELFAST – AARP Driver Safety instructor Paul Sheridan will hold a fall workshop for motorists age 50 or older from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Nov. 18 and 20, at the SAD 34 Adult Education and Day Learning Center.
Those attending will learn defensive driving techniques and strategies, traffic laws, rules of the road and more in the eight-hour course. They will discover how to adjust driving to age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time through an interactive discussion about the changing technology on newer vehicles and the warning signs that suggest it’s time to give up the keys. Drivers age 55 years or older who successfully complete the AARP course will be eligible for a car insurance discount, good for three years.
The fee for the course is $10, seating is limited, and advanced registration is required. For more information or to reserve a seat, call 338-0350.
