ROCKLAND – Coastal Senior College will present a free workshop, “Writing Your Neighborhood History,” with local historian Eleanor Motley Richardson, from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Oct. 20, at Richardson’s home at 22 Mechanic St.

In this workshop, Richardson will explain the genesis and process she used to create, “Mechanic Street: Uncovering the History of a Maine Neighborhood,” published last August. Richardson will provide a slide show of old photos.
