Bangor lists weekly meeting schedule

BANGOR – The following municipal meetings will be held this week for the city of Bangor:

. Finance committee, Monday, 5 p.m., City Hall; shelter plus care grants, request to waive purchasing regulation on food and beverage concessions at Bangor Municipal Golf Course.

. Board of appeals, Monday, 7 p.m., City Hall; appeal of restrictions on special amusement permit granted to Fuzion, a Franklin Street nightclub.

. Bangor Water District trustees, Tuesday, 3:45 p.m., 614 State St.

. Transportation and infrastructure committee, Tuesday, 5:15 p.m., City Hall; airport updates, utility locations permits ordinance change.

. Maine Sex Offender Registry and safety precautions forum, Tuesday, 7 p.m., Bangor High School.

. Bangor Region Public Health advisory board; Wednesday, 3-5 p.m., Bangor Health and Community Services building; task force updates, addressing legislative issues.

. Business and economic development committee, Wednesday, 5 p.m., City Hall; amendment to Pine Tree Zone for Oxford Networks, extension of option agreement for Maine Avenue development.

. Recycling committee, Wednesday, 6 p.m., Bangor Public Works conference room.

. Planning board, 7 p.m. Wednesday, City Hall; six-lot subdivision off Haskell Road, discussion of bylaws amendments, appointment to special committee on comprehensive planning.

. Commission on Cultural Development, Wednesday, 8 p.m., City Hall; downtown arts collaborative, grant application to Maine Arts Commission.

. Special committee on arena implementation; 5 p.m. Thursday, City Hall; report from financing subcommittee, review of draft for marketing and facility sizing.

. School committee, 7 p.m. Thursday, City Hall.

. Maine Institute for Human Genetics and Health; 10 a.m. Friday, Sylvan Road; ribbon cutting and dedication of new $3.5 million facility.

. Northeastern Maine Heart Walk, 8:30 a.m. Saturday, O’Donnell Commons, Husson University.
