COLLEGE

CAA Football

Jared Turcotte (University of Maine freshman fullback, of Lewiston), football rookie, totaled 189 all-purpose yards and scored two touchdowns in Maine’s 41-40 double-overtime win over Hofstra.

America East

Brittany Fleck (University of Maine freshman goalie), field hockey rookie, made six saves in Maine’s 2-1 win over Boston University Saturday.

NESCAC

Tom Daley (Colby College of North Bridgton), football defense, had an interception, fumble recovery and recorded six tackles in 16-13 victory over Hamilton College Saturday.

Dan Marden (Colby College junior goalie), men’s soccer, totaled 12 saves in two shutouts. Colby beat Connecticut College 1-0 Saturday and tied 0-0 with Williams on Sunday.

Emma Linhard (Colby College sophomore of Brunswick), women’s cross country, finished second out of 115 runners at the Maine State Championships Saturday with a time of 18:49.6 on the 5K course.

Sunrise Conference

Andre Anderson (University of Maine at Fort Kent sophomore), men’s soccer offense, had five goals and five assists in wins over UM-Presque Isle, SUNY Canton and Paul Smith’s College.

Damion Stone (University of Maine at Fort Kent sophomore), men’s soccer defense, helped the Bengals allow only two goals in three victories.

North Atlantic Conference

Melani St. Pierre (University of Maine at Farmington freshman), women’s cross country rookie, was first UM-Farmington runner and 21st overall at the State of Maine Championships. St. Pierre ran a time of 20:01.93 on the 5K course.

Kayla Nowell (Saint Joseph’s College sophomore of Bridgton), field hockey, scored two goals and provided two assists in a 2-1 week.

Jillian Morin (Husson University first year of Manchester), field hockey rookie, had three assists and a goal in a 2-0 week.

James Tollefson (University of Maine at Farmington freshman), men’s soccer, had four goals and an assist in a 2-0 week.

Tyler Metevier (Husson University first year of Kittery), men’s soccer rookie, had two goals and an assist in a 2-1 win over Maine Maritime.

Megan LaJoie (Husson University sophomore of Van Buren), women’s soccer, tied school record with 5 goals in an 8-0 win over Maine Maritime.

Amy Young (Maine Maritime Academy junior of Cumberland), women’s volleyball co-player, helped MMA to a 3-0 week with wins over Husson, Thomas and UM-Farmington.

Marion Kish (Husson University junior), women’s volleyball co-player, led Husson to a 2-1 week, 2-0 in NAC player to secure the No. 1 seed.

Heather Moore (Maine Maritime Academy freshman), women’s volleyball co-rookie, had 72 assists, 8 kills and 6 aces in a 3-0 week.

Kaitlyn McKay (Husson University first year), women’s volleyball co-rookie, had 18 kills, 7 aces, 6 digs, 7 solo blocks and 4 block assists in a 2-1 week.
