CARIBOU – A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can help police arrest and indict the person responsible for a Sept. 1 robbery at the McDonald’s restaurant on Bennett Drive.
Sgt. Shawn Van Tasel of the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department said recently that the McDonald’s robbery was October’s Aroostook County Crime Stoppers Crime of the Month.
Last month’s robbery occurred when a male suspect, who witnesses said was approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, walked up to the drive-through window and demanded cash.
Police said the suspect was wearing dark clothing with white sneakers, a ski mask, red-tinted goggles and a white surgical mask. He told workers he had a gun. He kept one hand in his pocket as he demanded the cash, according to investigators.
The suspect made off with more than $900 in cash.
