ST. AGATHA – State police continue to investigate a fatal car crash that took place in St. Agatha on Monday evening.

State police Trooper Chuck Michaud said Tuesday that investigators arrived at the crash scene on Bouchard Road shortly after it took place just before 5:30 p.m. Monday.

According to Michaud, Charles Collin, 54, of Wallagrass was heading south on the road when he lost control of his 1996 Buick Park Avenue.

Michaud said Collin overcompensated as he was traveling around a curve. The vehicle spun out of control and rolled over into a ditch.

The victim was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to Michaud.

Investigation into the accident continues, with Trooper Fred Thomas leading the probe. He is being assisted by Michaud and Trooper Robert Flynn.

The Fort Kent Fire Department assisted with traffic control at the scene.
