Program on South Africa

Ginger A. Graves will give a photographic presentation about South Africa at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Fields Pond Audubon Center, 216 Fields Pond Road.

Graves went on her first expedition in August 2007 with Earthwatch, a worldwide organization that dispatches volunteers on scientific expeditions to work in the field.

Based at Mankwe Wildlife Reserve, a classic bushveld landscape east of the Pilanesberg massif, the expedition aided scientists in their study of the brown hyena.

Admission is $5 for Maine Audubon members; $6 others. Proceeds benefit the nature center. For more information, call 989-2591.
