House District 23 (Carmel, Etna, Hermon and Stetson) has an opportunity to elect Jim Hooper as our state representative.

Jim has vast experience in the energy sector. In fact, he could be called an energy guru. He has managed the installation and commissioning of power plants on four continents in dozens of countries. His expertise includes biomass, waste-to-energy and wind turbines (like the ones now operating at Mars Hill). During his election caucus, the current House Majority Whip, Sean Faircloth, said Jim knows more about energy than anyone now in the Legislature and his knowledge would be invaluable.

Jim served in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear power program in the submarine service. As an avid sportsman Jim is concerned with Maine’s environment, and, as a dad, education is, of course, a top priority. His familiarity with health care and taxes will benefit all his constituents. Jim is the ideal representative for our district.
