PORTLAND – Sonny Noel of Raymond will be honored at a testimonial dinner by the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame on Nov. 9 at the Holiday Inn by the Bay.

In 1975, Noel was the first umpire from Maine to be selected to work the NCAA College World Series. He also served as the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame general chairman for more than 20 years. The testimonial will begin at noon. Tickets are $25 apiece and can be obtained through the following people: Don Douglas (846-3460), Peter Gribbin (797-6905), Brian Gordon (883-0154) and Art Smith (883-3731).
