BELFAST – The Colonial Theatre will present a night of comedy at 7:30 Saturday, Oct. 25.

Birdie Googins, the Maine comedienne who gained international fame as “the Marden’s Lady” on TV, will join Maine storyteller John McDonald for a night of humor.

Googins has had a long career in comedy before gaining fame as the Marden’s bargain hunter out to surprise “Daddy.” Her show has characters new and familiar.

McDonald is the author of many books, has toured Maine for years, is a founder of Maine storytelling groups, and is a sought-after speaker and entertainer for groups all over the state.
