DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Rural Maine Small Business Conference and Business to Business Show will be held 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Penquis Higher Education Center, 50 Mayo St. A limited number of scholarships is available based on need and will cover up to 80 percent of the conference fee.
Morning seminars include Cash Flow Management, Rural Connectivity and E-commerce, Time Management, and Access to Capital in Tough Times.
Down East magazine Publisher John Viehman and Marketing Manager Laurence Hollins will deliver the afternoon keynote address on the topic of “Creating A ‘Surround Sound’ Effect for Your Marketing Message.” Afternoon seminars will include Hiring and Keeping Employees, Starting A Business: What I Should Know, Health Insurance and Options, and Free Resources for Business. The Business to Business Show will be open 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. to offer entrepreneurs access to business products and services.
