THORNDIKE – Cassandra St. Clair scored with 13:19 left in the first half off a Chrissy Larrabee corner to lift the No. 2 Mount View Mustangs to a 1-0 victory over the No. 7 Camden Hills Windjammers in a regional field hockey quarterfinal Thursday.

Juni Garvin made four saves for the 11-4 Mustangs to earn the shutout and help her team advance to Saturday’s Class B semifinal.

Sarah Nason turned away nine shots for 6-8-1 Camden Hills.

Class C

Dexter 5, Orono 1

At Dexter, Jess Mason had two goals and two assists as unbeaten and top-ranked Dexter earned an Eastern C quarterfinal win over No. 8 Orono.

Olivia Gardner added a goal and an assist for the 15-0 Tigers, while Claire Wyman and Katie Eastman each scored a goal and Hillary Moore contributed an assist.

Chelsea Wagner scored for 4-11 Orono.

Mason and Gardner scored in the first half as Dexter built a 2-0 lead. Wagner scored the first goal after intermission to draw the Red Riots within 2-1, but Mason countered with her second goal to restore the Tigers to a two-goal cushion before Wyman and Eastman added insurance goals later in the second half.

Dexter goalie Sam Conway made four saves on six shots, while Amber Saucier made 13 saves on 22 shots for Orono.

Class A

Gardiner 1, Bangor 0

At Gardiner, Katie Schide scored off a Lauren Gorham penalty corner with 10:24 remaining in regulation as No. 3 Gardiner shut out sixth-seeded Bangor.

Alley Beaulieu stopped the only shot she faced for 13-2 Gardiner.

Hilary Babin turned away nine of 10 shots for 8-7 Bangor.

Girls soccer

Presque Isle 3, Fort Kent 0

At Caribou, three different players scored a goal apiece as Presque Isle shut out Fort Kent to win the Penobscot Valley Conference championship.

Chelsea Nickerson, Kayla Richards and Katrina Whittier netted a goal apiece for the Wildcats while Sarah Porter, Kayla Legassie and Jenna Stephenson picked up assists. Kelsey Park came up with two saves on three shots.

Carissa Pelletier turned away 11 of 16 shots for the Warriors.
