DOVER-FOXCROFT – A complementary therapy workshop is planned for Monday, Nov. 3, at Mayo Regional Hospital’s Resource Center.
Separate sessions will be scheduled for the general public and for medical staff and health care personnel. Sessions are scheduled from 7 to 10 a.m. and 4:30 to 7 p.m. for medical staff and health care personnel, and from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the general public. There is no charge.
Organized by Mayo’s pain management committee in conjunction with the hospital’s education department, the event will feature presentations by providers of complementary therapies such as acupuncture, Reiki, therapeutic touch, osteopathic manipulative therapy, massage therapy and herbal therapy.
Complementary therapy providers wishing to present at the workshop should contact registered nurse Diane Dill, the pain management committee chairwoman, at ddill@mayohospital.com, if they have not done so already. Provider information will be gathered at the workshop so that Mayo can update its complementary therapy resource manual.
