MACHIAS – Susan Gendron, commissioner of the Maine Department of Education, will give a public address on Education Policy Issues and Challenges at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the University of Maine at Machias’ Portside room in Kimball Hall.

Gendron is coming at the invitation of UMM President Cynthia Huggins as part of the college’s efforts to mark a century of teacher education next year.
