BANGOR – The Maine State Cultural Affairs Council is seeking public comment at three meetings throughout Maine in the coming weeks to identify the needs of Maine’s cultural community and to identify ways to increase the council’s visibility in state government. The meetings have been scheduled for:

. 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, Shettleworth Lecture Hall, Maine Historical Society, 489 Congress St., Portland.

. 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, Bangor Public Library board room, 145 Harlow St., Bangor.

. 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, Room 103A, Cross Office Building, Capitol Street, Augusta. This meeting will include videoconferencing connections to Machias Memorial High School and Presque Isle High School.
