E. Sangerville Grange begins concerts Nov. 1

SANGERVILLE – The East Sangerville Grange will kick off its 2008-09 coffeehouse season at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, with Mark Miller and his guitar.

Playing with Miller will be Bob Fillion, a Lewiston native whom Miller met in 1972 playing guitar and singing.

The coffeehouse series is in its 14th year.

“We are very excited about this year at the Grange,” said Alan Bray, Grange master of ceremonies. “We were able to reduce ticket prices and we will be changing the format of the evenings to incorporate more stories, contests and chances for the audience to get involved.”

The Grange will continue to serve refreshments.

Other headliners for the season include Martin Swinger, In Other Words, Harmony Hill and Denny Breau. Also appearing throughout the year will be the Doughty Hill Band, filling in and backing up when necessary.

In the afternoon before the coffeehouse, the annual East Sangerville Grange Craft Fair will be held. Hundreds of locally made items will be for sale.

Admission to the coffeehouse series will be $10 in advance, $12 the night of the show. Tickets will be available at Mr. Paperback in Dover-Foxcroft and Hudson Avenue Florists in Guilford two weeks before each show. The shows are on the first Saturday of every month, November through April.
