SKOWHEGAN – Local members of the national peace activist organization Code Pink will stage an “I Miss America” pageant at noon Sunday, Nov. 2, on the Margaret Chase Smith bridge in downtown Skowhegan.

Contestants will wear sashes proclaiming identities such as “Miss Used Funds,” “Miss Led,” “Miss Pronounced” and other slogans. Residents who want to join this event are welcome.
