AUGUSTA – The Augusta First Church of the Nazarene is conducting a “Campaign for Christ” during the remaining election season.

The church’s pastor, the Rev. Kevin O’Brien, and church board member David A. Knorr have led efforts to disseminate 2,000 palm cards and place about 250 lawn signs in Augusta, according to a press release.

The group is holding nightly walks around the State House that will continue until Sunday, Nov. 2. On that day, the marchers are invited to walk seven times around the State House, reminiscent of the Bible story on Jericho. Prayers will be offered for all candidates and political leaders.
