AUGUSTA – The Maine Warden Service says six men have pleaded guilty to charges of illegally killing and selling deer in Oxford County.

Officials announced Friday that the men have entered guilty pleas in District Court to charges that include night hunting, hunting in a closed season, exceeding the deer limit, theft of traps and trapping without a license.

The six were identified as Kyle Morgan of South Paris; Matthew Cole of Bryant Pond; Thomas Walker of Bethel; Matthew Walker of Bethel; Raymond Walker of Norway; and James Campbell of West Paris.

The men were charged last February after a two-year investigation by the warden service.
