ELLSWORTH – More than 20 organizations will provide information, education and assistance at the Community Connections Health and Wellness Expo from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at the VFW Hall, East Main Street.

The expo will offer free assistance with Medicare Part D, property tax-rent relief, home heating, adult day care, prescription assistance, estate planning, balance-body fat analysis, and much more. Flu shots will be available for $14 (MaineCare and Medicare accepted) and cholesterol screenings (appointment required) for $10.

The expo provides an opportunity to learn more about local organizations and the services they provide to support Down East residents. Those who attend will have a chance to win one half-hour massage from Donna Murphy, a gift basket from Family and Friends Market, and a Downeast YMCA adult membership.

The event is sponsored by HealthLink, Disease Management and Rehab Services of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital.
