ROCKLAND – Knox County residents Tuesday voted out two veteran county commissioners and elected their replacements. In District 2, Richard L. Parent Jr. of Warren defeated Commission Chairman A. Mason Johnson Jr. of Thomaston, 3,122 to 2,839. Johnson had served for 16 years.

In District 2, Richard L. Parent Jr. of Warren defeated Commission Chairman A. Mason Johnson Jr. of Thomaston, 3,122 to 2,839. Johnson had served for 16 years.
District 2 includes Criehaven, Cushing, Friendship, St. George, Thomaston and Warren.
Roger Moody of Camden was chosen over incumbent Lawrence Nash of Union for County District 3 by an overall tally of 4,857 to 3,056. Nash had served for 12 years.
District 3 comprises Appleton, Camden, Hope, Isle au Haut, Matinicus Isle Plantation, North Haven, Union, Vinalhaven and Washington.
