Lubec sea salt firm granted patent

LUBEC – Quoddy Mist Gourmet Sea Salts announced that it has been issued a patent on its process for creating all-natural sea salt.

Clayton A. Lank and Melanie Bridgham, supplied with a seed grant from the Maine Technology Institute along with research supplied by Willis “Woody” Higgins of the Maine Patent Office, developed the patent over a two-year period. Quoddy Mist said its 18 varieties of sea salts are packaged and stored until sold to clients and customers around the world.
