Outlook: The Black Bears take on the Eagles for the first time in 23 years. Division I UMaine gets its final tuneup before heading to eighth-ranked Duke for its Nov. 16 season opener. Division III Husson University of Bangor opens Nov. 16 at home against UMaine-Fort Kent. The Bears should have a significant advantage in the post, especially with Husson senior forward Shelby (Pickering) Bradford inactive. She is among four Husson women’s two-sport athletes who will sit out tonight’s game in anticipation of Saturday’s North Atlantic Conference soccer title contest. Bradford played soccer as a freshman at UMaine and also joined the basketball roster. Husson coach Mary “Kissy” Walker played point guard at UMaine from 1982-86 and captained the squad as a senior.
