NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Tatyana Wolterbeek posted four saves on nine shots as Husson University defeated Norwich in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament Thursday.

It is Husson’s first NCAA tourney win since joining the NCAA six years ago.

Husson will now travel to play 16-0-1 Williams College (Mass.), the No. 1 team in the country, on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Megan LaJoie and Michelle Manning netted second-half goals 1:59 apart for the 16-4 Eagles.

LaJoie scored when Shelby Bradford’s corner kick slipped through the hands of Norwich goalie Alecia Wright and landed at her feet.

Manning made it 2-0 at the 60:34 mark when she dribbled past several defenders and beat Wright with a low, hard shot from close range.

Wright and Meghan Kennedy combined for five saves on 20 shots for 15-5-2 Norwich.
