Thanks to a generous, 10-year lease agreement (including payment of utilities) offered by Tony Burgess and Glenn Capp, the Wintergreen Arts Center is moving into new quarters in a building owned by Burgess and Capp at 149 State St., Presque Isle, reports Virginia Joles.

The mission of WGAC is “to provide artistic enjoyment and creative fun for children, teens and adults,” Joles wrote of the nonprofit organization that relies on contributions such as this, and its previously donated space at Aroostook Centre Mall.

With your help and support, that mission will continue at the new location.

WGAC invites you to the first of several fundraisers to help with work in and around its new facility. Abracadabra Productions will put on a magic show from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Presque Isle Middle School.

Tickets are $5 and are available at Wilder’s Jewelers in downtown Presque Isle.

Jane Harburger is chair of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church Holiday Fair from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the church on the corner of Holyoke and North Main streets in Brewer.

Mike Dolley said the breakfast will feature “made-to-order omelets and Belgian waffles,” hot from the “Holy Grill,” and that the fair will feature “a country kitchen of homemade baked goods, craft tables, the cookie table, Avon collectibles, a pet table, plus a silent auction.”

You also will find a “re-gifting table” with “new items that didn’t find a home the first time around.”

Dolley reminds readers that fair “proceeds benefit the work of the church.”

The HHS Christmas Bazaar is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Kinsley House, 83 Main Road South in Hampden.
