PORTLAND – Boston Red Sox reliever Justin Masterson will be the featured speaker when the Portland Sea Dogs host a hot stove dinner and silent auction Friday, Jan. 9 at the Wyndham Hotel in South Portland.

All proceeds from the dinner and auction will benefit the Strike Out Cancer in Kids Program.

Tickets for the event go on sale today at 9 a.m. at the Hadlock Field ticket office, by phone at 207-879-9500 or online at www.seadogs.com. Only 300 tickets are available at $50 each.

Masterson, who began the season with the Sea Dogs, posted a 6-5 record with the Red Sox in his rookie season with one save and a 1.86 ERA.
