WATERVILLE – The Colby College White Mules outscored UMaine-Fort Kent 55-30 in the second half to pull away for a 91-66 men’s basketball victory Wednesday night.

Adam Choice led all scorers with 25 points for Colby while Michael Russell scored 18, Mac Simpson 12 and Justin Sherman 11.

Jimmy Lopez paced UMaine-Fort Kent with 20 points. Yair Gal netted 18, Ilija Kalajdzic 15 and Othniel Hyliger 11 for the Bengals.

At Waterville, Mallorie Blakney scored 30 points and had 10 steals to power Thomas College to a season-opening win over the University of Maine-Machias.

Cortney Barrett finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks for the Terriers. Jess Nassetta scored 14 points while Amy Miles chipped in with 13.

Talaya Wooall led the Clippers with 17 points. Jennie Hare added 12 points while Briann Emery had 12 rebounds.
