ORONO – Bangor Symphony Youth Orchestra will present its fall concert at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at Hauck Auditorium, University of Maine. Admission is free, donations are welcome.

The orchestra comprises 70 student musicians from eastern and central Maine. The students audition for the orchestra in September and rehearse on Sunday afternoons, performing full concerts twice each season in addition to performances by smaller ensembles throughout the school year.

Rebecca Edmondson is the conductor of the orchestra.

The concert will feature a program of lively pieces, including Die Meistersinger excerpts from the opera, Elfin Dance Woodwind Quartet, Sicilienne from “Pelleas et Melisande” Op. 78, Pirates of the Caribbean, Krakowiak Piano Duet, Forever, Irish Party in Third Class from “Titanic,” March of the Toys from “Babes in Toyland,” Blue Danube Waltz, Op. 314, The Lord of the Dance and Cry of the Celts.

The Bangor Symphony Youth Orchestra will be joined by members of the Thomas School of Dance, who will lend their dancing talents for the Irish Party from Titanic, March of the Toys and Lord of the Dance.
