PORTLAND – More parking will be available just in time for one of the busiest travel periods at the Portland International Jetport.
City officials said the airport’s new $22 million parking garage will be partially open to help meet the extra demand for parking during the Thanksgiving Day holiday period.
The jetport will also introduce a special family security lane during the holiday period.
Jetport marketing manager Greg Hughes said the family security lane and the opening of the garage are supposed to make traveling in and out of the jetport easier. But he still advised people flying out of Portland during holiday break to be at the check-in counters at least 90 minutes before their flights.
