CHARLESTON – A pulp loader that caught fire at the Charleston Correctional Facility around noon Tuesday was destroyed, according to Charleston Fire Chief Gregory Pinkham.

The pulp loader had been housed in a pole barn, but it was removed so no damage was done to the barn, according to Pinkham. He said firefighters on the campus had the fire out by the time his department and Corinth firefighters arrived.
