The weather and slippery road conditions contributed to several accidents Tuesday in Piscataquis County.

An Abbot woman was injured about 6:15 a.m. when her vehicle was struck by another on Route 15 near the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Abbot.

Julie Patterson, 32, was taken by ambulance to Mayo Regional Hospital for treatment and later released.

Nicholas Crocker, 29, of Garland had been traveling south on Route 15 when he lost control of his vehicle. It fishtailed and rotated counterclockwise before crossing into the northbound lane and colliding with Patterson’s vehicle, Investigator Jamie Kane of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department said.

Both Crocker’s late-model GMC extended-cab pickup truck and Patterson’s 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee were demolished, Kane said.

Gregory Hall, 29, of Willimantic was injured when he lost control of his 2007 Yukon on Route 150 in Willimantic and the vehicle struck and broke a utility pole. All of the airbags in the vehicle deployed during the 7:40 a.m. accident, according to Sgt. Mike Gould of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department. Hall was taken by ambulance to Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft for treatment and later released.

Gould said Hall’s vehicle was demolished.

Barry Lovell, no age provided, of Monson was injured when he lost control of his vehicle about 9:30 a.m. on Essex Street, according to Dover-Foxcroft Police Chief Dennis Dyer. Dyer said the vehicle ran into some trees, then rolled over.

Dover-Foxcroft firefighters had to extricate Lovell from the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to Mayo Regional Hospital for treatment and later released.
