WHITNEYVILLE – The Whitneyville Community Club met recently to consider several proposals and plan its last 2008 luncheon for Project SHARE.

The club approved donating $2,000 to the Whitneyville library for its 25-25 Endowment Challenge from the Maine Community Foundation.

The club also approved the purchase of a runner to help protect the floor at the Hillgrove Community Hall. Club members may sponsor additional work on the basketball court in the summer of 2009. The club anticipates the addition of a scoreboard and improvements at Little League Field if the town’s recreation committee approves.
