ROCKLAND – The Rockland Public Library will present the premiere screening in Maine of “Soul Searching: The Journey of Thomas Merton” by filmmaker Morgan Atkinson at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, in the Friends Community Room.

“Soul Searching” examines the life of a modern American monk who has been described as part Augustine, part Emerson, part Gandhi. This is one in a continuing Thursday series of literary, film and cultural offerings sponsored by the Rockland Public Library and Friends of the Rockland Public Library.

Admission is free. Special accommodations for people with disabilities can be made with 48 hours notice.
