Millinocket historians offering ’09 calendars

MILLINOCKET – The Millinocket Historical Society’s 2009 calendars are available.

Its theme is “Millinocket People and Places: the 1930’s – 1940’s” with photos of school groups, sports teams, the new Katahdin Avenue School, the new post office and more.

Calendars are available at the local IGA, Millinocket Floral, Levasseur’s, Magic City Mini-Golf, and Young House B & B as well as at the society’s museum from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursdays.

The cost is $8.50. Mail orders may be sent to Millinocket Historical Society, P.O. Box 11, Millinocket 04464. Add $2.50 for shipping costs.

All proceeds go toward the purchase of the society’s future home.
