Saturday afternoon’s NCAA football playoff game between the University of Maine and the University of Northern Iowa can be seen live in Bangor at the Sports Arena on outer Hammond Street.

The game, which is not being televised live by any stations in Iowa or Maine due to a lack of production capability in the area, is being aired live over the Internet via webcam by Northern Iowa and will be shown on at least one 12-by-12-foot screen at the Sports Arena.

“We found out about after someone from the UMaine boosters called us to let us know,” said Sports Arena owner Len Cole. “You can watch it on your home computer, but I think most people would rather watch it on a bigger screen.”

The Web site is unipanthers.cstv.com.

Kickoff is scheduled for 5:05 p.m.

The game will also be broadcast live on local radio flagship station WVOM (103.9 FM) of Howland and Black Bear Radio Sports Network affiliate stations.
