PORTLAND – A former U.S. Navy reservist assigned to the Brunswick Naval Air Station has been sentenced to 70 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for possessing child pornography on his home computer.

Shane Rowell, 31, was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Portland.

Prosecutors said police found images of child pornography after seizing Rowell’s computer last year.

He pleaded guilty in August.
