NOBLEBORO – A local man was arrested Monday on a charge of furnishing scheduled drugs.

The Lincoln County Drug Task Force and a Maine State Police Tactical Team served a search warrant at 4:30 a.m. Monday at the home of Lisa Wallace and Randall Simmons on Upper East Pond Road, according to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

Police had the occupants leave the home to meet the officers. The press release said the state police tactical team was called in as a precaution because Simmons, 49, has a criminal history and because drug activity and the presence of firearms were suspected, among other factors. The warrant was executed without incident.

Officers seized approximately 2 ounces of processed marijuana from the residence along with drug paraphernalia.

Wallace was not charged, said Lt. Michael J. Murphy, special services supervisor for the Sheriff’s Department.

Simmons was released pending a court appearance in January.
