ORONO – The University of Maine School of Forest Resources plans its annual holiday tree sale for scholarships through Dec. 14 in front of the Nutting Hall courtyard.

Forestry students expect to sell more than 100 Fraser fir or balsam trees, 4 feet tall and up, for $16 to $36, says Louis Morin, forest resources instructor. Proceeds benefit a scholarship fund for forestry and wildlife students’ summer field camp training programs.

The trees, from UM graduate Toby Hall’s Christmas Tree Farm in Sangerville will be available:

. 3 p.m. to dark Monday through Thursday, Dec. 1 to 3 and Dec. 8 to 11.

. Noon to sunset, Friday, Dec. 5 and Dec. 12.

. 9 a.m. to dark Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6 and 7, and Dec. 13 and 14.
