CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Cherryfield’s Jim Layton is one of 10 grand prize winners of the Gillette TimeShaver Challenge and will participate Saturday in a customized driving school at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
The driving school, part of the Richard Petty Driving Experience, is led by the Gillette Young Guns which includes drivers Clint Bowyer, Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin, Kasey Kahne and Ryan Newman.
Layton, 66, will be paired with 2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Kurt Busch.
During the Chase for the Sprint Cup, fans could visit participating retailers to purchase specially marked Gillette Fusion Razors that included one of six Gillette Young Guns trading cards. Each card had a code that could be entered online.
The 10 winners will compete against each other to turn the fastest lap. The winner will receive a trophy.
